Lecture on Business Plan

The 14th Lingnan Business Plan Competition will be held on Sunday, January 18, 2015 and is about to open for registration soon. To better prepare Lingnan MBA students with more knowledge of business plan and the competition, two Lingnan MBA alumni guest speakers are invited to talk about what should be dealt with caution when preparing business plan, what venture capitalists would value when considering a business plan, what impacts that the business plan competition brings to their lives, etc.


The lecture is arranged as:

Guest speakers: Ms. HU Yibing and Mr. Don WU

The bios of the guest speakers are as follows:

Ms. HU Yibing

A highly experienced and successful professional who has turned her attention to the field of business education. She is the Dean of Plateno Business School, which belongs to Plateno Hotels Group. She was the former Executive Associate Director of Lingnan-MIT Sloan International MBA Program at Lingnan College, Sun Yat-sen University, Guangzhou, China, and was responsible for administration of MBA programs, including daily management of operations and supervision of staff. She plans and oversees admission and promotion, student/alumni affairs, academic affairs, and career development of MBA programs. 


Ms. HU holds a MBA degree from Lingnan-MIT Sloan International MBA Program of Sun Yat-sen University and a bachelor degree of Engineering in Automation of South China University of Technology. During her MBA study, Ms. Hu and her team won 2002 Asia Moot Corp Business Plan Competition Champion (Hawaii, March 2002) and were one of the top ten teams of 2002 Moot Corp Business Plan Competition (Texas, May 2002). She was also a team advisor faculty of Global Moot Corp Competition team every year.


Before Ms. HU was invited to join Lingnan International MBA Center in 2005, she worked in IT industry in a variety of capacities including engineering, customer service, sales, and marketing, in 2 global companies.



Mr. Don WU

An alumnus of Class 2007 Lingnan MBA, co-founder of Sunflower Nonprofit Dancing Art Organization and a top executive of a listed company. During his MBA study at Lingnan, Don and his team won the first prize in 2008 Lingnan Business Plan Competition, and represented Lingnan to join Asia Moot Corp Business Plan Competition (Thailand, March 2008) winning the best written business plan award. In the same year, Don and his team also joined the New Venture World Competition 2008 (USA, April 2008) and won the fourth place.
